The Attractions of the New York City

New York certainly is one destination, where almost everyone would want to visit at least once in their lifetime. The commercial and business capital of the United States, it is often referred to as the “City that never sleeps”. The cosmopolitan city of New York boasts of diverse cultures due to the immigrants from different parts of the world. Numerous New York attractions have been forever etched in the minds of tourists who have visited this wonderful city.

The city of New York is often referred to as that of skyscrapers. One amongst them, without which every picture of the city is incomplete, is the Empire State building. This iconic building was constructed way back in 1931 and remained the tallest building in the world for four decades. The skyline of New York looks magnificent in the night, with the flood lights positioned on the top of this 102 storied building.      

The Times Square is another one of the famed New York Attractions. It is a prime location for theatres and hotels, and also offers the best in entertainment and shopping facilities. One can also visit the iconic Statue of Liberty, which was gifted to the Americans by the French. This grandiose statue is located on the Liberty Island in New York harbour. Some of the other places worth a visit are Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, Brooklyn Bridge, American Museum of Natural History, Children’s Museum and others. 

New York Broadway Shows are known around the world for their spell bounded musical tales. Based on legendary stories, songs and plays, these shows are presented by professional artists, who bring the characters to life with the rising nodes of music. On the Theatre District across Broadway, 40 professional theatres are located, that present entertainment options for both kids as well as adults.
