New York- A Perfect Place for Sightseeing

New York, also referred to as the cultural capital of the world, is the most populated city in the United States. Its rich culture and history makes it a great destination to travel to.

There are a number of New York attractions that must be included in a tourist’s itinerary. The Rockefeller center is one of the skyscrapers of this city from where the tourists can enjoy the panoramic view of the city. The Rockefeller center has skating rinks, shops and restaurant where the tourists can enjoy themselves. The Statue of liberty is another iconic landmark in New York. Located on the Liberty Island, The Statue of liberty is a symbol of international friendship as it was gifted to the United States by France.

The Empire State Building with 102 storeys gives an amazing view at night when the whole city is lit up. It has an observatory on its top most floor which gives a view that spans about 80 miles. These New York attractions are always crowded by tourists. So, it is advisable to make reservations well in advance.

There are about 28,000 acres of municipal parklands in New York which makes it a perfect place for nature lovers. The Central Park is one of the most famous parks in New York. It has several lakes, a Conservatory garden, two skating rinks and even a zoo. This park provides a very soothing environment. This city also has large number of museums such as Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Museum of Natural History features dinosaur exhibits, thus making it a good place for science geeks. These places and attractions make New York sightseeing very enjoyable.
